Can you believe all of the snow we have had?  I hope you helped shovel sidewalks and driveways during the blizzard.  I have updated the homework to reflect the currect assignments.  Hopefully, we will not have any more snow days so we can keep our spring break. Mrs. S.

Happy New Year to everyone, Thank-you for the gifts and treats for the holiday season.  Pre-algebra students should be getting ready for percents and Algebra students should be studying for the Mid-year assessment. The date of the second marking period end has changed, please see the district web site for updates. Mrs. S.

I know some students love puzzles like the "Microsoft" problems and others do not but if you want to try some more or need help with tonight's homework try the interactive puzzles (the first three are free) at the website www.plastelina.net.  I thought the puzzles were fun and I did not stop until I solved all three. See you soon, Mrs. S.

It is the end of marking period 1; I have posted the grades on infinite campus.  Many students are very pleased with their grades, congratulations. If your grade is not satisfactory with you or you are not putting forth your best effort, please see me during flex to discuss options for marking period 2. Mrs. S.

Students, Please be careful on Halloween.  Carry a flashlight, stay with a group of people, tell a parent where you plan to go trick-or-treating and what time you expect to be home, carry a cell phone and check all treats carefully. Mrs. S. PS> The last day of the marking period is Wednesday 11/4/09

Hello my fine students, This is a reminder that it is mid-marking period 1 and all of your work should be completed in a timely manner.  You and your parents should be periodically logging on to infinite campus to check your grades and missing assignments.  As you probably know by now, I am big into e-mailing when there is missing work.  Overall, I think we are having a great year in Math class, keep up the good work. Mrs. S.

Hello all, We have just had our first assessment in class. (Pre-Algebra the first quiz and Algebra the first test)  I am working on grading them, it will take me a couple days and some students were absent so they will need to make up the assessments before I return them. Mrs. S.

Hi gang, I was sick one day this week and still recovering.  I had a sinus infection (not the H1N1 virus) and I am on antibiotics.  Many students have been sick for many days as well.  Remember if you are sick, check the homework website for the work you have missed and if you feel well enough try to complete some of it.  Upon your return, check with each teacher to find out what concepts/notes/classwork/homework you missed.  You have the same number of days you were out to make up the work (in other words if you were out sick for two days you have two days to make up the work). Stay healthy, Mrs. S.
