Friday, May 4th
Pick an evnironmental research topic. The list of topics is in the Earth Day folder.
Write out 4 questions to research on your topic. The questions MUST be open ended questsions (that means they can not be answered with a "yes" or "no" answer).
Guidelines for the questions:
1. Define what it is (for example: What is Global Warming??
2. Ask a question that involves the what caused this environmental problem to occur.
3. Ask a question about the impact on the environment.
4. Ask a question about what WE can do to help this solve this environmental problem.
QUIZ ON FRIDAY. STUDY your flow chart from the sun to an iPod and the energy notes you took in class. To help you study, go to the EMM folder (Energy, Machine and Motion folder) and look at Example B. This was the best example from today's class.

Make a flow chart from the sun to an electrical device (I-pod, computer, TV, i-pad etc.).
1. Include what the energy change is with each picture. mechanical energy, chemical energy, electromagnetic energy, nuclear energy, thermal energy or electrical energy
2. Include some kind of fossil fuel to create the electricity. Don't forget to show how fossil fuels are made over time.
10 pts You will be graded on:
- 3 pts correct energy transformations
- 3 pts correct from the sun to an electrical device using some kind of fossil fuel
- 2 pts colored
- 2 pts neat and legible

November 2nd, Wednesday
1. Do a peer evaluation of each member in your lab group. BE HONEST. Total the score for each member of the group and be sure to explain WHY you gave the grade you did to each group member.
2. Self Evaluation - do one of yourself. BE HONEST! Compare back to your two original goals you wrote in your lab book before the weathering and erosion lab. DId you meet those goals? Explain

Nov. 1st, Tuesday
Retype your lab with the corrections from the peer edit. The lab is due TOMORROW, Wednesday. Find a way to print either at FLEX or in the library tomorrow if you have printer problems. No more printing in class.
