In Broadcast Journalism this year you will embark on a very exciting journey into the world of journalism and television news reporting.

Working alone and with groups of your peers, you will immerse yourself into a world of fact finding, questioning, uncovering, interviewing, organizing, writing, and development & delivery of stories to an audience.

Four to five projects throughout the year will provide you an opportunity to develop your skills of working with facts, using sources, conducting interviews, speaking in front of a camera, and most importantly, organizing, constructing, writing and communicating a story that attracts the attention of the viewer and keeps them interested.

You will gain self-confidence both as an individual and as a member of a working community.
You will gain an appreciation of how the news media affects our society.
And, you will reinforce your planning and self-management skills, and writing ability.

You will start slow, but gradually increase and improve your ability to develop an objective approach to the delivery of news, ideas, thoughts, feelings, and opinions.

To succeed this year you need the following:
ENTHUSIASM             DESIRE
DEDICATION              COMMITMENT
CONFIDENCE    and    A POSITIVE ATTITUDE
