Research indicates that NHD students outperform their non-NHD peers on state standardized tests in multiple subjects. This program helps students become better researchers; it focuses on reading and writing skills, and encourages historical thinking.

The Regional competition entry fee is $10.00.
There is NO fee for the State competition.
Only one payment is needed for any level of our NJ state contest. If (!!!) a student qualifies as one of the two NJ delegates for the NATIONAL HISTORY DAY Competition at the University of Maryland, then please expect a more significant round of charges will apply.
